Christian Michael Prieto…resides in Surprise, AZ, with wife Laryn, daughters Averi & Logyn and son Parx…graduated from Carmel (CA) high school in 1990…attended San Jose City Junior College and the University of Nevada-Reno…selected by the San Diego Padres in the 24th round of the 1993 June Draft...played alongside his twin brother, Rick, during his time in the Padres minor league system.


Chris is in his first season as the Mariners Third Base Coach, but his sixth season on the Mariners Major League staff, overall...was first base coach in 2018...was replay point person in 2016 and 2017...spent 2017 as the team's special projects coach... spent previous three years (2014-16) as club's quality assurance coach...managed the Mariners Pulaski team (Appalachian League) to a 41-27 mark in 2013, winning their division and an Appy League title...spent 2011 and 2012 as a coach with Eugene Emeralds in the Padres minor league system.


Made his Major Leage debut with the Angels May 14, 2005 and appeared in two big league games...had a 13-year career in the minors...during his minor league career in the Padres, Astros, A's, Cardinals, Dodgers and Angels system, was a career .280 (1213x4326) hitter in 1,232 games...also played parts of two seasons in Mexico and part of one year in Independent ball...on May 30, 1998, Chris and his twin brother Rick became the first set of twins to play together in the same Pacific Coast League game in over 30 years.
