Mariners on the mound:
Rowland-Smith gave up Konerko's home run but nothing more in the two innings that he worked. He fanned two and walked two. Ryan Feierabend pitched two perfect innings in relief.
White Sox on the mound:
The White Sox did a little situational relief work when Gavin Floyd exited following two scoreless innings. Erick Threets worked 1 1/3 frames but departed after Casey Kotchman's double in the fourth. Sergio Santos, another competitor for the seventh relief spot, came into the game and gave up Tuiasosopo's game-tying double on a 2-0 pitch, before striking out Chris Woodward and ending the inning on Josh Bard's groundout.
