Saunders stumbled as he raced for Moustakas' line drive down the line in the third inning, then got up and limped after the ball in the corner as Moustakas reached third base, from where he eventually scored the game's first run on a sacrifice fly.
Saunders remained in the outfield the rest of that inning, but was replaced the following frame by Romero.
Saunders grounded out in his lone at-bat in the second and is hitting .222 with one home run and seven RBIs in 32 games.
