Carlos Peguero traded to Kansas City Royals


Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik announced today the club has traded outfielder Carlos Peguero to the Kansas City Royals for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Peguero, 24, was designated for assignment on Jan. 16 when the Mariners signed free agent catcher John Buck. Peguero appeared in 65 games for the Mariners from 2011-2013. He was originally signed by Seattle as a non-drafted free agent on Jan. 20, 2005.
