Mariners Spanish Audio to be on ESPN Deportes


ROOT SPORTS and ESPN Deportes Local Radio Group announced today an agreement to carry the Seattle Mariners Spanish Audio feed in 2013 on four radio stations in the Puget Sound area.

Mariners Spanish Audio distributes the play-by-play of all Mariners home games televised by ROOT SPORTS (79 of the 81 home games this season) which is provided on SAP channels where available.   As a result of this agreement, the feed will also be carried by the following radio stations in 2013:

  • 1490 AM Seattle/Bremerton
  • 1480 AM Tacoma/Lakewood
  • 921. FM Tacoma/Puyallup
  • 1280 AM Olympia/Lacey

Alex Rivera enters his seventh season as the Spanish play-by-play voice of Mariners Spanish Audio.  Former Mariners second baseman Julio Cruz will join Alex in the booth for select games throughout the season.  Steve Guasch is the producer of and "sidekick" on the Spanish feed.
